Noteworthy

• Nowhere: Mysterious Artifacts released into Early Access on August 17th with ‘Mixed’ reviews before clawing into ‘Mostly Positive.’ Currently under a 10% launch discount until August 24th. Judging by the Discord pings, the developers are on top of patching bugs/issues, so that’s good to see. There’s a demo available on the Steam page if you want to check it out, and the developer gifted us some keys, so there’s a Giveaway up in our community Discord!

• Sunkenland will release to Early Access on August 25th. Digging their latest trailer!

• Tune in to the Opening Night for Gamescom streaming live Tuesday, August 22nd at 11a PT /2p ET /8p CEST, with the pre-show starting 30 minutes earlier. If you’re lucky and can be there in person, go! Excellent chance to meet the developers for some survival titles, check out some demos, and maybe even get some swag. (If you don’t want the swag, send it to me!)

• Tribe: Primitive Builder is holding another Playtest that starts today; you can request access from the Steam store page. Dee and I took a stab at an older demo build back in February. I wasn’t a fan, and she thought it was… okay.

• Nightingale will be demoing a brand-new trailer at Gamescom.

• Gord is a colony survival adventure strategy…thing. I’ve been kinda following along with news for the past year or so, and it finally released last week. It’s sitting solidly at Mixed reviews so far, which is disappointing. Price point is a little steep at $35, maybe I’ll wait for a sale.

• If anyone DOES go to Gamescom, be sure to check out the demo for Serum and report back. It’ll be the first time folks see something beyond the shallow lore teasers, and this thing has been dragging on for ages.
