This weather can’t seem to commit to a season lately- I don’t know if that’s just here in Ohio or if you guys are experiencing it everywhere. We were having some awesome nights in the mid-50s, even staying sub-65 until 8 or 9 AM. Then it suddenly 180’d and dropped the hammer for this holiday weekend, sitting at a humidity-filled 95+ daily. NOT THE BEST TIME TO BE OUTSIDE.
I’d love to get an actual Fall season this year- maybe spend some weekends tooling around to neighboring states to leaf peep and do some hiking. MOTHER NATURE, IF YOU’RE LISTENING.
I know it’s not August anymore, but this is legit where my mind goes for September.

🖥️ Worked with Dee and Becca to update the directories! Featured images were updated, the info tab should be up to date and reflect any updated release dates- same with the calendar- and a few game listings have been updated as released…or dead.
📚 Getting my LEARN on by completing an OBS course from EposVox. I’d like to get back into working on some YT videos, but it’s been a hundred years since I did any recording. Pretty sure I deleted all the scenes Becca set up for me, too. (I purchased it during the presale at a massive discount- but I’ll let ya know if it’s worth picking up!)
❣️Noteworthy Last Week
⌛ Did you back Rooted? Backers now have access to the NDA-locked Alpha test! For real, though- remember it’s under NDA, they will ban your ass. The developer of RTE Worlds held a livestream on Discord to showcase development progress! It was an interesting time- it looks like things have been moving, but I hope the next livestream will showcase survival features. Hopefully, with a bit of depth. Hey, you can now kick back with the Green Hell soundtrack.

🔮 Stoked for HumanitZ release on September 18th. Some interesting responses from the development team of Forever Skies- most importantly, they’re still working on co-op.

🎵 Music: Ugh, I want to see this live! Hmm, ODESZA will be in Nashville next Friday. *intense thinking face*
➡️ App or Item: I typically read a fiction book every day- or every other day- so I bounce between the Libby, Books (Apple), and Kindle apps. I try to Libby my way to whatever title I plan on reading at the time, but often a blend of I WANT IT NOW and a lack of availability push me into the purchase box. Does anyone have a preference for the platform? It’s pretty limiting that we can’t purchase from within the Kindle app while on the iPhone, but not the end of the world. I do find that I get a shit ton of free stuff via the Books app.
📚 Book: I know they’re young adult fiction, but if you like SURVIVAL and BOOKS, you need to be reading Gary Paulsen books.
🎮 Game: I’m back into WoW retail, after a year away. It wasn’t even a walk of shame this time- I willingly climbed back in the saddle. It’s nice to have a game that is in a complete and different niche than my normal survival titles (even though it has crafting AND food!)- because it enables me to completely disconnect from anything that makes me think. Which is a perk in this scenario.
