Life Has Been Crazy. Snippets- June 15, 2023
Formerly intended for Monday, life sucks.
⏰ Forever Skies will launch on June 22nd; check out the most recent trailer. At the start of June, the developers announced a partnership with Creepy Jar, the studio behind Green Hell, but haven't released details. It will be some type of "space bros" thing, given that CJ finally released the Steam page- and more info- on their second title...which is set in space. Be sure to check out the latest Forever Skies Steam blog as well!
‼️ Once again, The Long Dark can inject this shit right into my veins. (Dev Log)
‼️ Alpha 21 for 7D2D has finally been released to the Experimental branch! (Release Notes)
⏰ Solarpunk is slaying its Kickstarter campaign.
⏰ Homeseek will be released on July 20th! (YouTube)
‣ If you've been keeping up on the drama that is my life, you'll know that my productivity can be measured in thimblefuls. All I can say is that I'm trying. I'll make a post to catch folks up on the drama.
Don't Miss Out
⁉️ Who fucking knows. My sanity has eroded - what year is it?

A ton of neat shit to check out in the latest Dev Vlog for HumanitZ. Also! The developers plan to update the demo sometime this month. (YouTube)
Nightingale sent out invitations to 10k folks to playtest the game! (Twitter)
Tidy-looking character creation screen, DeadPoly! (YouTube)
Neat roadmap, Start Over! (Steam News)
So the developer of Karagon (kinda garbage) and Alight: Lunar Survival (canceled) released a demo for Grand Emprise: Prologue to mixed reviews (Pikachu shocked face) but says in Discord it's because he's "..being review bombed by China." OK then. (Steam Store)
Frostpunk 2 will be released in 2024. I wonder if it will have less survival focus and become a more traditional city builder. (YouTube)
So. The Day Before. I literally cannot even with this fucking game anymore; every single thing it does just adds to the pile. (Okay, but hahaha, I love the title of this article, well done, PC Gamer.)
The best part of Serum releasing a new trailer is the shitstorm raining down on them in the YT comments. The opening post for this Steam thread is still funny, and the Toplitz representative is right! It ages beautifully. (YouTube)
If you're interested in the upcoming Viking survival title Aska, you'll want to read this! (Dev Log)
A few days ago marked two years since The Gold River Project pushed back their Closed Alpha (promised to backers) to Q3 of 2021. Suffice it to say that didn't happen, hasn't happened, and I'm not holding out hope for this year either. I'm sure it will be very pretty and immersive- like any other UE5 game- but I almost wish I had backed Dead Matter at this rate. Shit happens, I guess.
The Pioneers: Surviving Desolation will push back their next content patch to mid-July. (They offered up this video of a naked man?)
Creepy Jar finally released information on Chimera, their second game announced ages ago. The video is pretty...uninformative. It seems like it will be more similar to Frostpunk or Satisfactory than Green Hell- but time will tell. (Steam Store)
Wanderlost recently showed off combat stats and weapon types.
